Be the pen, (or keyboard). Writing begets writing. I admire anyone that can follow through with their convictions and get that story out. You write, I'll read ;)

Yes, thebookfair, it is very Zen-like, excellent point.

Writing, like any applied mental or physical skill, flourishes in the absence of competing emotions or thoughts.

My ability to immerse myself completely in writing, weights, etc. is proportional to my concentration level. And what is concentration but Zen directness?

Got here via WordPress recommendation. Enjoyed all 3 parts so far, so far as your ideas are concerned.

Still hate all that white space (see comment #50 after Part 1.)

Going out to store for Dramamine...

Very Zen-like. You were a buddhist monk-ette in your past life? Hmm perhaps. I think anxiety can also drive the two sexes in different ways, with you it may be a hurdle. With me a catalyst? I don't know just a thought. Kind of like lighting the proverbial fire under ones ass? Great sight. I'll be watching ;)

I love your posts with the references to Fight Club. I thought it was a great movie but the way you've made the connection to writing and even other aspects of professional life is way beyond awesome.

Seems like I'll have to buy a few of your books now!

I'm reminded of this quote:

"Certainly the best times were when I was alone with mathematics, free of ambition and pretense, and indifferent to the world."

Langlands, in Mathematicians: An Outer View of the Inner World, p142.
